Share your story and watch what happens.

I love this saying because to me it’s an invitation to believe in ourselves.

And I have to say, somewhat embarrisingyly, that it’s taken me a while to fully believe in myself.

Why is that?

Don’t get me started.

Suffice it to say, there were obstacles along the road which pushed me in this and that direction and I swerved off track.

The Right Now Project is about creating a space where people can come, without judgement, to share their story in all of its incredibleness and not so greatness.

It’s about creating a platform where all of us can come and learn about how others are moving through the struggles of their lives with all of the ups and downs that go along with it.

It helps me, believe it or not, that I can hear about you and see how you’re moving along your healing journey. I never realized someone could endure the things you’ve endured. And Wo, you’re able to do that, too?!

To you it might not mean anything. To you, that’s simply the way you’ve lived your life.

To me, however, I find inspiration in how friggin’ strong and powerful and perseverant you are.

I also like to know that I’m not alone. That I’m not the only one who is so overwhelmed with everything going on in the world. How challenging it can be sometimes just to tick off the one or two boxes of my daily to-do list.

We need each other.

And we especially need each other to heal. Even just to take that first step along the/our healing journey.

And for me it begins with knowing that you’re perfect, just the friggin’ way you are.

So picture yourself walking up to a door. You knock. I answer and I say:

“Joe” or “Andrea” (Whatever you’re name is!). “Awesome. Come on in.”

And you wonder if you’re in the right place and you say, “Is this The Right Now Project?”

And I shake my head yes and say, “Yep. Thank you so much for coming tonight. And one thing: Before you come in I just want you to know that you’re perfect just like this. You don’t have to be or do anything other that who or what you are.”

You say, “Should I take off my shoes?”

“Nope. On is perfect,” I say.

“What about this spaghetti stain on my shirt? Should I wipe that off first, maybe?”

“Perfect. Your friggin’ perfect. I love spaghetti.”

You smile and then you step inside.

Welcome to The Right Now Project.
