Damon Wood, PhD. The Journey of a Prison Psychologist

Dr. Damon Wood is back on the podcast.

Damon was my guest on episode 400 of The Trauma Therapist | Podcast in which we talked about safety within the prison setting.

Today, however, he’s back to share a personal story, about why he decided to leave working within the prison system. I think you’ll find this episode enlightening as Damon talks about his struggle and the conflict he had with his decision to leave and yet the love he had for his colleagues. He also talks about the push and pull therapists sometimes feel between working with a group of professionals as opposed to working in private practice.
