You’re Invited To Be A Guest Host on
The Trauma Therapist Podcast.
Thank you for your interest in being a guest host on The Trauma Therapist Podcast!
The Trauma Therapist Podcast with thousands of downloads per month is a leader in the mental health and trauma spaces, in the top 0.5% of podcasts worldwide and was voted among the top Mental Health Podcasts of 2023 here and here and again in 2024!
My purpose in starting the podcast was, and remains to this day, to increase the awareness of trauma but also to highlight the importance of humanness in trauma care and the mental health space. That’s what I love focusing on during my interviews.
Why bring Guest Hosts on?
What I’d like to do—and the reason I’ve reached out to you— is because I enjoyed having you on the podcast but I also highly value the work you do and feel you could offer a lot to my audience.
I’m inviting a select number of people who specialize in a variety of areas to become one-time guest hosts in order to provide a more nuanced and increased learning experience for my listeners.
I’d like to include topics such as:
Modalities such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Drama Therapy, Dance, etc.
Healing
Self-Care
Yoga
The business of being a therapist
Psychedelics
How does this work?
-
You should do this because you're awesome and can share your awesomeness to a larger audience.
My purpose in inviting you to be a guest host is because I value the work you're doing and would love to have you be a part of my podcast.
Once your episode is published we'll promote it extensively across each of our social platforms which will increase your exposure and you'll also be able to use the episode and video to promote it as you wish.
In addition, there will be ample opportunities during the interview for you to promote your own work and website etc.
-
Yes.
The purpose of this is for you to choose someone in your field that you'd like to interview.
This will give you the opportunity to talk about your work as well.
-
20 minutes, tops.
-
Sound quality is key!
You will need a decent microphone.
A few recommendations:
-
Yes.
During the introduction, which you'll record, you will be able to talk a bit about yourself and the work you do.
Also, at the end of the episode you'll have the opportunity to direct listeners to your site.
Finally, when we promote the episode across our social platform we'll link up whatever you'd like to promote.
-
Yes.
This way we'll be able to create video clips which we can then promote across our social platforms.
-
My recommendation is either zoom or Riverside.
-
This is not about perfection!
Nothing I do is about perfection!
This is about heart and humaneness.
We can edit stuff out!!
-
Generally speaking I do next to no editing.
If I cough or sneeze, then yes, of course.
But otherwise, I just move one.
This is not about perfection. It's about heart and soul.
If you'd like to edit it, then you're free to do so!
Otherwise, once the interview is recorded over Zoom, you can email the file back to me and we'll take it from there!
